Every year, from November 25 to December 10, the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign unites individuals and organizations worldwide to raise awareness about gender-based violence and inspire action to end it.

Gender-Based Violence (GBV) is violence committed against someone based on their gender, identity, or expression. It takes many forms: physical, sexual, emotional, psychological, economic, societal, and even technology-facilitated violence.
⠀

Gender-Based Violence (GBV) affects not only individuals but society as a whole.
Economic Toll: Billions are spent annually by Canada’s federal, provincial, and territorial governments on healthcare, justice, and social system responses to GBV.

Attention Parents! Winter Programs Registration Opens Soon! 🎉
Mark your calendars:
📅 December 3, 2024 🕖 Starting at 7:00 a.m.

Land Acknowledgement
We at CUIAS Immigrant Services respectfully acknowledge that the land on which we operate is the traditional territory of many nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. Today, it is home to a diverse community of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.
We also recognize that the area now known as Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit. As we carry out our work, we honor the enduring relationship between Indigenous peoples and this land.
